Beyond Squarefeet™ consists of professionals with a practical experience & expertise spread in a wide area of Mall Conceptualisation, Positioning, Mall Zoning, Tenant Mix, Mall Marketing & Leasing, Mall development, Retail, infrastructure planning, construction, etc. Having been on both sides of the business i.e. Retailer & Mall Developer, we deeply understand the business proposition and hence we create a win-win situation to both the players.
Our multi talented team is accountable & responsive and our core team works closely on every project, to bring in the best results, with their prior experience. Susil DUNGARWAL has served about 23 years in the Retail / Mall sector in India. A true home grown retailer, who has worked in a spectrum of retail formats such as Department stores, Lifestyle Store, Specialty stores, Supermarkets, Discount Stores, Rural Retail, and of course now into Mall Development & Management of Malls & has been involved in various Retail / Mall projects totalling more than 12 million (12,000,000)sq.ft. He is an ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres) certified, shopping centre / Mall Manager.
He has been a visiting faculty & guest lecturer in IIM - Bangalore & Mount Carmel College of Management in Bangalore, NITIE - Mumbai, The Empire School of Learning, Indian Education Society College of Management, Rizvi Institute of Management, Jamunalal Bajaj Institute of Management, IIT - Powai, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, etc.
During his tenure of about 23 years in Retail, he has associated with companies such as Saint Mark, Big Kids Kemp, Shoppers' Stop (K. Raheja Group), Lakewood Malls, (Hiranandani Group), The LOOT, The Forum Mall, UB City Mall & Eva Mall (Prestige group) & Emaar MGF, Ishanya - A Specialty Mall, Bergamo - Luxury Mall, Funeria - An Entertainment hub, etc.
Thanks to his association, knowledge & involvement of Indian Retail industry, The Economic Times (The Times of India group) shared his knowledge in the First Retail book in India under the banner of "Retail 2000-2001". He was also involved in bring in the second edition of the same in 2002-2003, as one of the key contributors apart from Mr. B.S. Nagesh (MD, Shoppers' Stop Limited) & Mr. Arvind Singhal (Chairman, KSA Technopak.). He has represented the Indian retail Industry in various seminars / conferences across the globe.
He is the winner of the "Rashtriya Rattan Award - 2001" for the best up-coming Retail professional in India. More recently in November 2006, he was conferred with the "Indira Super Achievers Award- 2006", in Bangalore. He was also nominated for the "Indira Gandhi Award for National Integration" in the year 1988, for his noble service to the society, through an NGO.
Susil also writes for various retail newspapers/magazines focused on retailing including, Retail Asia, Retail ME (Middle East), Gentleman, Images Retail, Images Business of Fashion, The Financial Express, Business Standard, The Economic Times, Retail Biz, Newsweek, Femina, USP Age, East India Retail, Gulf News, & features in many Business TV Channels. He is aptly called a "Retail & Realty Analyst".
Ashok Jain, is a post graduate in management (MBA) and Law (LL.B.) from University of Mumbai, and also a qualified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a Certified Investment Banker (CIB) from the ICFAI, Hyderabad
Ashok Jain has 17 years of work experience in diverse industries such as financial services, agribusiness & retail and has worked with several large corporate houses such as Tata Group, RPG Group, Shoprite Group of South Africa and Australian Government. He has an exposure to several domain businesses like commodity procurement and trading, fresh produce supply chain management (including contract farming), currency trading, risk management and international business development. He has been instrumental in setting up the fresh produce business for local wholesale, retail and export businesses for Shoprite Group in India creating benchmark in produce retailing in India.
Apart from being a Director - Finance & Strategy at Beyond Squarefeet™, Ashok Jain is associated as Director - Finance & Strategy at Terracon Ecotech Pvt. Ltd.; and is also involved with Alia Group as "Chief Financial Officer and Catalyst-Growth". Before joining Alia Group, Ashok Jain was the CEO of a commodity futures broking start up for a period of 2 years. He brings in the expertise in finance, strategy and business development.
Ketan Sanghvi is a Shopping Center Professional for over 20 years in Mall Advisory & Consulting, Mall Strategy , Development & Leasing, Business Development and Retail Property Sourcing. He is professionally qualified with MBA (Hons.) Finance from American International College, Springfield, Massachusetts, USA. Ketan Has been part of the Beyond Squarefeet Team since inception.
In the emerging Retail Realty spectrum, Ketan has already acquired considerable professional expertise and represented companies like Knight Frank, Future Group, West Pioneer - a Mall development venture by McDonalds Group JV. He has been a speaker of various national & international Seminars & has authored articles in various retail publications.
He is also associated with various Institutions and colleges including International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC), National Association of Realtors (NAR), India Properties School of Real Estate, Symbiosis Institute, as a member and guest faculty and is involved in continuous learning and knowledge sharing. Mr. Ketan is also as part of community service initiative is a Charter Member and Past President of The Rotary Club of Bombay Bay View, Mumba
A Civil Engineer from V.J.T. Institute, Mumbai in First Class in 1986, comes with immense experience & learning in the construction industry. With more than 22 years, all positions starting from Trainee Engineer to Managing Director, in various renowned construction companies. Having handled all genres of projects ranging from 50,000 sq.ft. up to 20,00,000 sq.ft, he is a hand-on construction expert.
Among projects vary from Hotels, Malls, Commercial, Residential etc, he has been associated with all the coveted construction / infrastructure companies such as Hiranandani Group, L&T - ECC, Mahimtura Consultants (structural Engineers), Sheth Builders, Jayraj Group, Goel Ganga Group, Vascon Group, Ishanya, Protech Construction, etc. Bipin Bhise is a well known expert in the field of construction.
Vivek is a qualified Architect from the Academy of Architecture & has been mentored by Hafeez Contractor. Recognized for his spatial & out of the box designs in Retail, Entertainment, F&B, Commercial and Residential, Vivek has been a winner of various Retail Design & commercial design Awards. He has been associated with names likes Times Group, UTV, Reebok, Crossword, Hiranandani Group, Prime Focus, NASA and many more.
Anand Ray, an Interior Design graduate from Academy of Applied Arts, Mumbai comes with over a decade of rich experience in Retail Design, Hospitality, Airport Interiors and High Profile residential interiors. Anand has been a part of the core Design developmental teams for several prestigious projects including HyperCITY, Inorbit (Vashi, Cyberabad, Malad, Pune) and Phoenix Marketcity (Bangalore & Kurla) & specialises in all aspects of Retail Design & fit-out management. He has been involved in approx. 3 Million sq feet of retail/Mall space. At Beyond Squarefeet, Anand heads the Design & Development team that drives the retail space planning and fit-out management processes.
Mr Sanjeev Kumar has over 11 years of experience in the field of Operations & Client Servicing and has made significant contributions in his previous profiles . He holds a degree in Commerce & Hotel Management and has worked with some of the leading Restaurants, Malls & Multiplexes in the country namely MBD Neopolis, DLF City Centre, ADLABS, Treasure Island, TGIF. Some of his significant projects include; Liaisons, Hiring & Operational Setup of ADLABS in North India, Setting up of the Ebony Lounge at ADLABS Noida, Reviving of DLF City Centre Ludhiana in terms of occupancy, footfalls & Branding to name a few. Mr Sanjeev has also been a part of many National & International Conferences and Events.
Hiten Shah is a Civil Engineer with more than 15years of experience in the field of Retail, Architecture, Interior & Construction. He has a highly significant exposure to Structural, Finishing, Façade Development, Exteriors, MEP, Automation related services. Hiten Shah has been part of Conceptualizing and Design & Development for various projects including Reliance Corporate Park, Rcity Mall, Pacific Mall Delhi, Pacific Mall Pune, Vegacity Mall etc and has worked with major Retailers like Shoppers Stop, Hometown, Big Bazaar, Westside, Zara, Croma, PVR, Big Cinemas etc and also Retail categories in FEC , Food Courts, F&B etc. Hiten heads the Fit-Outs team at Beyond Squarefeet.

With a BSc in chemistry, a degree in Post harvest management, and DIP in both software engineering and food technology, Mr. Arun Kotian is an expert strategist in the Retail business having primary exposure in commodity procurement & trading, supply chain management, risk management and international business development. Having over 15 years of experience in agribusiness, processing, and retailing, Mr. Kotian has been instrumental in growth of large corporates with the likes of Trikeya Grey, McDonalds and Shoprite group from South Africa. Arun brings with him a lot of entrepreneurial and business process management skills with emphasis on retail and supply chain management.
